On Friday 11th and Saturday 12th January 2002 at the Wycombe Swan Town Hall Theatre, Wildcard Theatre Company will be celebrating the New Year and getting into practise for Valentine's night with an event to indulge every sense and satisfy every craving. Food of Love - An Aphrodisiac Cabaret will be an orgy of eating, drinking and making merry, to kick-start 2002.
The evening comprises a lavish four-course meal, with options for the vegetarian as well as the carnivore, tailored to exquisite perfection by Wycombe Swan Catering. The entertainment throughout will be provided by the multi-talented members of Wildcard Theatre Company, including regulars such as Tara Hendry (Hiawatha), David Farey (Gawain and the Green Knight) and Andrew Potter (Wildcard's Artistic Director), as well as special guest appearances by other WTC favourites, past and present. The evening will be comp red by none other than the Master of witty repartee: Brian Panton - well known for his many performances with WTC, as well as his regular appearances at the company's monthly poetry readings.
Wildcard's Artistic Director Andrew Potter says, with a grin on his face, "The evening will be light-hearted, but immensely satisfying. This is an opportunity to glimpse what Wildcard does when it lets its hair down. I'm saying no more."
With immodest music, sensual songs and sexy sketches, Food of Love - An Aphrodisiac Cabaret is the perfect way to relax, indulge and pick up some new and daring ideas for Valentine's night. Tickets, including the meal, are 20 and are available from the Wycombe Swan Box Office on 01494 512000.
