Acting For Screen

with Lizzie Bichard

In this 3 hour in-person Auditioning for Screen workshop each actor will have a mock
screen casting with Lizzie. Lizzie will then give re-direction and feedback before the
scene is repeated. The workshop is for a small group of 10-15 actors who will remain
present for the full 3 hour duration, learning from each other’s mock castings. Sides
from TV and film projects that Lizzie has worked on previously will be sent out to
actors in advance of the workshop. Effective slates/profiles and ‘chats’ will be
covered during the workshop, although not all actors will be asked to do these. The
mock castings will be filmed and played on a TV monitor during the workshop for the
benefit of those watching – this will facilitate consideration of the alchemy that takes
place when an actor’s performance is seen on screen.
