Time: 10am – 4pm

More information:

This is a workshop for writers, theatre makers and anyone interested in the form.

During this one day workshop James will work through how he approaches writing and creating gig theatre, looking at how to approach the form both creatively and practically.

From transforming an idea into a script, infusing story with music and understanding what is effective about the form, to gathering equipment, general logistics and managing the (very loud) rehearsal room, this practical workshop will give you everything you need to know to create your first piece of gig theatre.

About James

James is an actor, writer, director and the Artist Director of Wildcard. He enjoys creating theatre in a collaborative setting and has a keen interest in the use of live music in his work. James has a particular interest in creating work that engages new audiences with thought-provoking theatre, TV & film and work that raises awareness around important social and political issues.
