Introduction to Lighting Design

with Jessica Hung Han Yun

Join Jess for this 2 hour introductory session on Lighting Design where you will learn about what a lighting designer does, and the importance of their role. You’ll explore the different fields of lighting design (theatre, installations, dance, gigs, architecture) and the different routes of getting there. You’ll discuss and explore storytelling with light, and where to start when approaching your design. How do you amplify the story you are trying to tell through lighting design?

This course is for any creatives with an interest in lighting design. Whether you are an aspiring designer, or just interested in the form, you will leave this session with a stronger understanding of the basics of lighting design.
