Jessie is out to burn up the town, in a whirlwind of unimaginable grief and anger. Feeling severed from her life in Leeds, and from her friends that are just fucking off or getting married, she can't ignore this feeling that's rising from the depths of somewhere hollow. Until that night, in a dirty nightclub, she's blinded by the light of Allie Touch who sparks off a journey that consumes Jessie entirely when an old loved one gets in touch.
Electrolyte is a multi-award winning piece of gig theatre that powerfully explores psychosis, and champions the power of friendship and togetherness in the process of recovery. Entirely underscored by an eclectic score played live by a cast of six actor musicians who could all be your mates, Electrolyte is the everyman story of being dragged from the depths of despair by those who love you the most.
This project wouldn't be possible without the kind support of the Arts Council England, house theatre, Les Enfant Terribles, The Watermill Theatre, The North Wall, ETT and The Mental Health Foundation.
