Theatrical education is at the core of Wildcard’s work; we believe that high quality theatrical training and education should be accessible to everyone, at every stage of life. We approach our educational work with the same methods we use when creating our professional work. By breaking our processes down into simple, digestible sessions, we encourage creativity and equip our participants with practical skills that can be taken forward to improve the their confidence — enabling them to unleash their creativity.

We also work with Schools, Colleges, Youth Companies and Higher Education or Adult Learning Institutions to design bespoke courses which suit the students’/participants’ needs. We are excited to bring you Wildcard’s Summer School!
Wildcard’s Summer School is a professional standard, fun and accessible two-week training for young performers aged 11-15. During the 2 weeks, you’ll be working with creatives at the top of their game to develop a brand new show, which will be presented outdoors in Grosvenor Square on Thursday 12th August and will be free for the public to attend.
Bursary places are available, free of charge, for those who might not be able to meet the price of the Summer School.

WILDCARD’S SUMMER SCHOOL

During our 2-week summer school, you’ll be working with creatives at the top of their game. We’ve teamed up with West End Directors, Choreographers and Musical Directors to ensure the training you receive can empower you to grow your confidence, hone your talent and build on your knowledge of how to access and work in this industry as a professional.

GIG THEATRE WORKSHOP
Schools Workshop
In this workshop, Wildcard will explore this new genre and equip your pupils with the knowledge and understanding of how to begin creating their own pieces of Gig Theatre.
Skilled facilitators, trained in the company’s easily digestible ‘WILD’ method, will share Wildcard’s distinctive creative process: blending live music, song and spoken text to create a unique theatrical experience that celebrates the live event and has the power to change perceptions of what theatre can be. Creating Work With Passion
Higher Education
Passion is often what drives creativity. It is a powerful thing and — if artists can harness their passion into a disciplined approach — it can fuel the creation of excellent work, with very little time and resource.
In this module, Wildcard will unpick its approach to creating work from source materials that the participants are passionate about, looking at a variety of styles, forms and techniques.
Through a bespoke number of sessions, our practitioners will guide the participants through the journey of turning an idea that ignites passion into an original piece of theatre.
