Description
Auditioning for Comedy
with Lucy Jenkins & Sooki McShane
In this session Lucy and Sooki will work with you on comedy scripts that they will send out ahead of the session. You will discuss the play and get to perform scenes from it. You’ll then get given notes and tips on how to do a successful comedy audition, followed by a Q&A at the end.
They will allocate parts and pairings and send the scripts / sides over to participants ahead of the workshop.
Workshop starts with 30 – 40 mins of chat where we can get to know each other a bit and talk about the play.
Participants get sent off in to breakout rooms to rehearse the scenes with partners.
Partners will be able to go through the scene a few times and receive notes/direction from the casting directors.
Q&A at the end of the session.
When: Thurs 29th July
Time: 1 -4pm
