Pitching To a Venue

with Dilek Latif

Join Mercury Theatre’s Talent Development Producer Dilek in this exploratory 2 hour session looking at different approaches to pitching performances and ideas to theatres.

It will include a mix of presentation and participant involvement and all attendees are encouraged to bring examples of work or ideas that they wish to develop a pitch for. You will go over the fundamental step by step questions of How, Who, Where, What and Why, and look at how to answer these questions practically with examples.

This workshop will leave you with a firmer understanding of how to approach, pitch to and connect with venues, in the aim to get your show into a theatre.

About Dilek:

Dilek is the Talent Development Producer at the Mercury Theatre, having completed her placement supported by Tamasha and Sustained Theatre fund. She has produced Silence a studio show by local writer Nicola Werenowska which toured studios and award winning Ain’t Misbehavin’. At the Mercury she works on the Talent Development programme, Studio and café/bar programming, produces the Mercury Original Productions and is the Change Maker for the Mercury on Adeste+ which is an audience development initiative across various buildings in Europe
