Writing a One Woman Show

With Fran Bushe

Fresh from performing her award winning solo show Ad Libido at Soho Theatre, Fran Bushe brings you creative sessions on developing a one-woman show. Across 4 workshops you will begin to flesh out, devise and structure a solo piece of theatre. Being able to create your own work is an incredible skill to have, but just because it’s a solo project doesn’t mean you have to work alone. The emphasis of these workshops is on collaboration, building new connections and trying new ideas in a supportive space.
This is a workshop for female-identifying writers, performers and anyone interested in the form. No experience necessary.

About Fran:

Fran Bushe is an award-winning comedian, writer and performer. She has had sold-out runs of her multi-award winning show Ad Libido, and wrote The Diary of My Broken Vagina for Channel 4 Comedy in 2019. In 2019 she won the Soho Theatre Tony Craze prize for her play A Gig for Ghosts. She is an alumni of the Royal Court Writers Program & The Soho Theatre Writers Lab. Her first book My Broken Vagina was published with Hodder & Stoughton this year.

At Wildcard we believe everyone should have the chance to be creative. We want all our courses to be as open and inclusive as possible to anyone that wants to take part. We are aware that the cost of workshops and regular training is a key barrier in our industry for many people.

With this in mind, we are pleased to be able to offer 2 free places on each course.
