Writing With Caring Responsibilities

with Siân Owen

As a carer it can be hard to find any time for yourself, let alone to write.
In this session, Siân, who herself is a parent carer, will share strategies, ideas and motivations.
She will also run some practical exercises to turn to when energy and inspiration is low.
There will be opportunity for discussion and questions too.
Those too tired to talk also most welcome!

About Siân:

Siân was born and raised in Newport, South Wales. Her play RESTORATION won the Oxford Playhouse New Writing Competition.
She has been part of the Sherman Cymru Advanced Writers Group, the Royal Court Studio Group and BBC Writers Group - Welsh Voices.

For theatre she has written for The National Theatre, Dirty Protest, Pentabus, Sherman Cymru, Theatre 503.

She has also written for Radio 4 and Audible.

She is currently under commission with Box of Tricks Theatre Company and Papertrail/Clean Break.
